Allspice

A popular healthy and aromatic herb, allspice used in a plethora of dishes from different cultures.  It is often used to prevent flatulence, as a carminative. 

Allspice is utilized as a gastrointestinal tonic and aromatic stimulant. As a result, it is widely used to treat stomach aches, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, and indigestion. 

There is evidence to suggest that Allspice helps to support the nervous system, treating a variety of related ailments including neuralgia, nervous exhaustion, hysterical paroxysm, and convulsions.

This well-rounded herb is also indicated for treating depression (tea, infusion, aromatic), menstrual cramping, heavy menstrual bleeding, chest infections, arthritis and rheumatism (as a poultice), bruises, colds, diabetes (as a powder supplement), and flu. 

Recent studies show that Allspice, Eugenol and Gallic acid possess antiproliferative and anti-tumor properties.  Allspice also has potent anti-prostate cancer and anti-breast cancer properties.
